Since this is a work that aspires to promote scientific curiosity among its readers of all ages, this fictional story raises an infinite number of questions. One question stands out above the rest and stares into the reader’s eyes to ask: “Is there life beyond our planet?”. Luis Ruiz de Gopegui invites us to reflect on the subject, and also provides us with a great opportunity to gain insight into how the brains of scientists work and what activities they usually carry out.
The illustrations are by Juan Miguel Aguilera, who also worked on Luis’ previous title, Six Children on Mars, published in this same collection. Juan Miguel has taken inspiration from real settings, such as investigation centres and space antennas, to move the characters of the story in them.
We recommend, before and after reading this book (because it is hard to do both at once), to look up to the stars and contemplate the night sky from a clear place.
