MEDIA VACA KIOSK


This website, which we have titled Media Vaca Kiosk, features the books that compose the Media Vaca catalogue. Since its inception, the publisher's policy has been to keep all the titles in the catalogue alive, which is why we periodically reprint and republish out-of-stock works. Information on the availability of each specific title is clearly indicated on the website. If at the time of placing an order the availability of any of the selected products changes, the customer will be alerted. If you wish to be notified when a certain title is available again, you can send us a message through the Contact page, or use the link provided.


HOW TO BUY

You must select and add to the Media Vaca Kiosk cart the books you wish to buy, clicking on the cart icon that appears on the website.

Each product contains the following information: the title of the book, a reproduction of its cover, a description, a brief summary of said description and the price of the book in euros.

The Media Vaca Kiosk cart will include the reference number of the selected books, along with the title, number of copies and price, including VAT.

The same cart will show the list of books the customer intends to buy and the total price, including VAT and shipping costs.

Once the books have been selected, a form must be filled in, indicating personal details and the preferred method of payment. All data must be carefully entered in order to avoid problems when processing the shipment.

If the order includes several titles and one of them is not available at that time, the customer will be notified so they can modify their order.

If there should be any doubts regarding the shipping information provided by the customer, they will be contacted to ask for a clarification or for an alternative address.

Although there are other sections on this website (among the News in the Miscellany section, for example) where information is provided in regards to placing an order and the established payment and shipping systems, the only one the customer should consider, since it offers the most valid and most up-to-date information, is the one included in this section.


PRICES

The prices shown on this website are in euros and include all applicable taxes in Spanish territory. Media Vaca will not be responsible for any special taxes, customs duties or additional delivery costs that may be charged by the country of destination.


SHIPPING COSTS

The price of the books does not include shipping costs, which are added separately during the purchase process, only after the shipping details have been entered.

Shipping costs will vary depending on the destination and the size and weight of the selected items.

In the case that our suppliers modify their rates, these prices will be reviewed and updated accordingly.

The delivery service will vary depending on the order's destination.


WHERE WE SELL

  • Spain: different conditions apply to the Peninsula and to the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.

  • Europe: check if the destination country implements special conditions.

  • Rest of the world: it is advisable to consult, since in some countries we have international distributors available, as is the case of Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Poland. There are also sales points in Italy, USA, Japan and Taiwan.

Shipments are prepaid to the address provided by the customer. If at the destination the delivery service is subject to special charges, as could be the case in certain countries, the customer is responsible for the cost of such charges.


WHO WE SELL TO

This website is intended for the use of individual persons. However, if a bookstore or distributor wishes to use this site to place a book order, they can make an enquiry by sending a message to pedidos@mediavaca.net. Libraries and schools, which enjoy special discounts, can also contact us through this e-mail address so we can indicate the most appropriate purchase options.


ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES

As a guide, the estimated delivery times, according to Correos and other transport companies, are as follows:

  • Spain (Peninsula): 1-7 days.

  • Spain (Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla): 7-10 days.

  • Europe: 7-10 days.

  • Rest of the world: 15-30 days.

     

TRACKING OF SHIPMENTS

All shipments have a tracking number to reduce the risk of loss. In the event of an incident, we will contact the recipient directly, so we ask that the information provided be as accurate and complete as possible..


PAYMENT METHODS

The established payment methods are:

  • Credit card, through the PayPal gateway

  • PayPal.

  • Bank transfer (The customer who chooses this option will receive an e-mail with a proforma invoice, which will include the account number the transfer needs to be made to. The management costs arising from this operation will be assumed by the customer, and the shipment will be made only after confirmation by the bank that the transfer has been made).
     

CHANGES AND RETURNS

No exchanges or refunds of books will be accepted, except in the case of damaged or defective copies. In the event of such circumstances, the damaged copy will be replaced by a new one at no additional cost to the customer.

In the event that the goods arrive damaged or the book has any defects, the customer must inform Media Vaca and send a photograph of the damaged book through the Contact page.


CONFIRMATION OF THE ORDER

Once the order has been placed, the customer will receive an e-mail from Media Vaca confirming that the order has been registered. This order confirmation will include information about the books purchased, the total price (including VAT and shipping costs) and delivery details.

It is advisable to check the information entered in the purchase order to detect possible errors. Before sending the confirmation, it is advisable to edit the order to ensure that the delivery and billing addresses are correct, as well as the credit card details. It is also possible to change or delete books from the cart.

If, during the purchase process, after placing an order, any information in the register is modified, Media Vaca must be notified immediately by sending an e-mail to pedidos@mediavaca.net.

In order to make a purchase through this website, you will be asked for your personal data. Orders are only accepted from people of legal age. Customers must provide their real name, a telephone number, an e-mail address and other required information.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of Spain. The parties, without renouncing their own jurisdiction or any other that may correspond to them by law, submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Valencia for any actions and claims that may arise from their interpretation or execution.
