- 10 April. Acceptance of Bologna Ragazzi Award for the books El señor Korbes y ortros cuentos de Grimm (Mr. Korbes and Other Stories by the Brothers Grimm) and Una temporada en Calcuta (A Season in Calcutta) in the opening ceremony of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

- October. Mis primeras 80.000 palabras (My first 80,000 words) and Garra de la guerra (Clawn of war).
- 20 November. Presentation of the 2001 Award for Best Valencian Book for El señor Korbes y otros cuentos de Grimm (Mr. Korbes and Other Stories by the Brothers Grimm) in the Beneficencia Cultural Centre, as part of the second edition of Saló Valencià del Llibre (literature event in Valencia).
- 25 November. Presentation of the new titles with the attendance of numerous collaborators in the premises of what will be the future Media Vaca bookshop.
- 30 November – 2 December. Participation in the Montreuil Book Fair. Day 1: encounter with the illustrators who present their book; Day 2: debate about ‘The renaissance of Spanish illustration’, with Raúl, Alfonso Ruano, Arnal Ballester, and Vicente Ferrer; moderated by: Michel Lagarde, director of the Studio 002 publication; Day 3: debate about ‘the situation of Spanish young adult literature), with Antonio Ventura, Isabelle Torrubia, Alfonso Ruano, and Vicente Ferrer; moderated by: Françoise Noiville, a Le Monde journalist.
