- 17 – 20 January. Segundo Salón del Libro Ilustrado Ciudad de Alicante (Second Illustrated Book Fair, City of Alicante). Publishing house's participation with its own stand in the space allocated to book displays.
- 16 February. Cálamo award ceremony for the Best Book of 2006 to Libro de las preguntas (Book of Questions) by Isidro Ferrer and Pablo Neruda. Location: Garden Restaurant. Convened by: Cálamo Bookshop in Zaragoza. The other award winners in this fourth edition of the Cálamo Awards are the philosopher Michel Onfray and the writer Manuel Rivas.
- 28 March. Lectures by José Luis Cano and Vicente Ferrer, titled ‘Valencia-Zaragoza, via Tokyo’ and ‘Zaragoza-Valencia, 6 hours’, as part of the conference about the practice of design by «apuestaposible.esDA», organised by the Graduate School of Design of Aragón and celebrated between the dates of 27 - 30 March in Zaragoza and Teruel. Graphic design professor, Anacristina Mestre, puts up with both characters.
- 24 – 27 April. Participation in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in the collective stand of AEPV (Publishers Association of Valencia) (Hall 29, stand B1). Representing Media Vaca, Isabelle Torrubia, María José Gil, and Gabriele Ba.
- 26 – 28 April. Exhibition of the book Mis primeras 80 000 palabras (My First 80,000 Words) in Ballobar (Huesca), during the III Jornadas Aragonesas de Biblioteca (third edition of Aragon Library Conference).
- 26 April. FAD medal awarded to Media Vaca and other ‘small publishing houses’. Cafè Central, Mudito & Co. and Minúscula. All the publishers attend the event. Other award winners in this year's edition are the programme Polònia by TV3, the Serveis Funeraris of Barcelona, Teresa Cadena, Servei Estació, the Catalonia Library, and the team of architects, Fantastic Norway.
- July. Seis barbas de besugo (Six Beards of Sea Bream and Other Whims).
- October. El Persa, ese desconocido (The Unknown El Persa).
- 10 – 14 October. Frankfurt Book Fair. Participation in the collective stand of AEPV (Publishers Association of Valencia) (Hall 5.1, stand E-923). Representig Media Vaca, Isabelle Torrubia.
- 20 November. Presentation of the 2006 Best Valencian Book Award, granted by the Generalitat Valenciana to Libro de las preguntas (Book of Questions). Location: San Miguel de los Reyes. The publishers' nephew, Pablo Moreno Ferrer (age 3), accepts the certified diploma.
- 22 – 24 November. V Jornadas de Animación a la Lectura (fifth edition of Encouragement of Reading Conference) organised by FETE-UGT of Asturias ‘Encouraging to encourage: promotion of the reader habit’.23 November: Round table ‘The literary commitment to childhood’, with the participation of the publishing houses: Ekaré and Media Vaca. The conference takes place in the Centro Municipal Integrado (Integrated Municipal Centre) of Gijón.
- 20 December. Presentation of El Persa, ese desconocido (The Unknown El Persa) in the Cultural Hall of CAM «La Llotgeta», with the participation of the author; Vicente Botella, representing CAM; and Vicente Ferrer, representing Media Vaca. A large and very interested audience; ambience of Christmas and children’s joy.
