- 26 January. Invitation for the publishers of Media Vaca to attend a discussion group which regularly takes place in a restaurant of Picanya, to talk about the book Benvinguts al Cabanyal (Welcome to El Cabanyal) and the publishing house's work in general. The invitation is from Clara and Alfred Ramos, and over twenty curious neighbours from Picanya participate in this friendly meeting.
- February. El alma se serena (Soothing the Soul).
- 7 March. Presentation of the book El alma se serena (Soothing the Soul) in the Muralla Hall of the Rector Peset Hall of Residence of Valencia, as part of the dramatised readings series titled ‘Hongaresa proposes’. In addition to the publishers, the table participants are: the author Paco Zarzoso, and the actress Lola López, from the Companya Hongaresa del Teatre (Hongaresa Theatre Company), the illustrator Marta Pina, the journalist Sergi Tarín, and the playwright Josep Lluís Sirera.
- 13, 14, 15 March. Participation of Media Vaca in the II Jornadas de Diseño (second edition of Design Conference) organised by the Toledo Art School with the title ‘Los caballitos tienen las alas de colores' ('Little horses have coloured wings’). 14 March: in conversation with Vicente Ferrer and José Luis Cano, illustrator and writer.
- 23 March. Conference-Workshop by Vicente Ferrer in the postgraduate course 'Lectura, libros y lectores infantiles y juveniles' ('Reading, Books, and Children and Young Adult Readers') of the University of Zaragoza, directed by Rosa Tabernero and Virginia Calvo.
- 27 – 28 March. Discussions by Vicente Ferrer in the course ‘La ilustración infantil: ¿Arte solo para niños?' ('Children’s Illustration: Art Just for Children?’), organised by the Juan March Foundation Museum of Palma de Mallorca. 27 March: ‘Aventuras del libro ilustrado (1959-2000)' ('Adventures of the illustrated book, 1959-2000’). 28 March: ‘Actualidad y perspectivas del libro ilustrado' ('Current news and perspectives of the illustrated book’). The course is based on an exhibition of original drawings by Vladímir Lébedey; Carlos Pérez and Emilio Urberuaga also participate as lecturers.
- 2 April. Discussion about Media Vaca’s book El señor Korbes y otros cuentos de Grimm (Mr. Korbes and Other Stories by Grimm) in the Valencia Public Library (Calle Hospital s/n) to celebrate International Children's Book Day and to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the appearance of the first collection of stories by the famous Grimm Brothers. The event is presented by María Jesús Carrillo, the library director, with contributions by the publishers and the illustrator Oliveiro Dumas, who humorously reveals several secrets of his work, which, by the way, also celebrates its 10th birthday. We all get old.
- 21 April. ‘Media Vaca: llibres, mosques i formigues' ('Media Vaca: Books, flies and ants’): Presentation by the publishing house in the bookshop L'Àmbit in Benicàssim, as part of the scheduled activities of Benicassim Book Fair.
- 23 April. Presentation by the publishing house in the Faculty of Philology of the University of Valencia to celebrate World Book Day. César Simón Hall.
- July. Reflejos y sombras (Reflections and Shadows) and Cartas a Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999 (Letters to Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999).
- 2 – 5 July. Lecture on ‘El Mundo al revés o la locura de los hombres' ('The world turned upside down or the madness of men’) in the Miguel Delibes Centre of Urueña. The exhibition, which is the focus of the meeting, curated by Jesús María Martínez, includes abundant graphic material, from Egyptian papyrus and hallelujah sheets to several illustrations Miguel Calatayud created for the book El mundo al revés (The World Turned Upside Down), published by Media Vaca.
- 25 October. Public reading of texts from the book Benvinguts al Cabanyal (Welcome to El Cabanyal) by actors, to celebrate the week 'El Cabanyal a Ultramar' (El Cabanyal in Ultramar), organised by Teatre Companya (Xavier Puchades, Begoña Tena) together with the rest of the team from Sala Ultramar (Ultramar Cultural Space) in Valencia.
- 31 October. Presentation of the books Reflejos y sombras (Reflections and Shadows) and Cartas a Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999 (Letters to Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999) in the Rector Peset Hall of Residence of Valencia. Participation of: Carlos Pérez, writer and author of the commentary, and the publishers of Media Vaca.
- 29 November. Presentation of the books Reflejos y sombras (Reflections and Shadows) and Cartas a Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999 (Letters to Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999) in the bookshop: Panta Rhei. Contributions by the publishers of Media Vaca and several members of the audience. Major presence of illustrators in only a few square meters. We highlight Alfredo González, Mauricio d'Ors, and Emilio Urberuaga, whose elegance seemed as if they had been sketched by Steinberg himself.
- 13 December. Presentation of the books Reflejos y sombras (Reflections and Shadows) and Cartas a Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999 (Letters to Aldo Buzzi, 1945-1999) in the A34 Gallery of Barcelona. The illustrator Arnal Ballester participates, joined by Vicente Ferrer, and the photographer Daniela Roman, Saul Steinberg’s niece, who travels from Paris as a guest. Coinciding with the presentation, the gallery exhibits original artwork by Steinberg as well as rarely showcased personal items and family photos.
